Report one week into Openmind Projects special fundraising with GlobalGiving that started June 8 and will finish June 26.
We had a good start! Many old volunteers and supporters donated. We are most thankful to all and every one of them and hope to see some, many, back one day in our projects, once the Covid is a memory only!
Therefore, our ambition is now to raise 10 000 USD from at least 60 donors, the next level set by GG! We hope to be successful and maybe even win some extra bonus prizes. We want to go on fundraising with GlobalGiving, and be able to help more young people in Southeast Asia!
We already planning for two learning camps in July for young villagers who dropped out of school and planning to be tour guides!
We hope to welcome volunteers soon too, after Covid!
We were awarded top rated status by GreatNonprofits – see https://greatnonprofits.org/org/openmind-projects), thanks to our volunteers. Therefore, we now want to offer our generous donors a chance to spend some days with us to learn about our work, local culture, volunteer with us. Or transfer this offer to a friend, a young student, someone already in Thailand or want to go here this year!
