We at BASS, India, are reaching out to you for your invaluable support for our after-school learning centers in Guntur. These centers are a beacon of hope, serving 150 children from slum communities by providing them with essential educational support.
We operate three dedicated centers, staffed by qualified teachers who diligently assist children with their homework, teach various subjects, and provide crucial mentorship. The academic year 2024 has been successfully completed, with most of our students showing significant progress and being promoted to their next classes. All the students are incredibly happy to attend these learning centers. We also provided a summer holiday break of 15 days to one month, during which the children enjoyed their time off. They have now enthusiastically returned to the centers for the new academic year 2025, which commenced in the first week of June.
Beyond academics, our teachers also focus on character building and healthy habits, which is transforming the educational standards of these children. Parents consistently express their deep appreciation for our work and the positive impact we have on their children's lives.
Unfortunately, this project has not received any donations for almost a year now. We are currently facing significant difficulties in covering essential operational costs such as rent, educational materials, staff salaries, and nutritious snacks. Each center requires $350 per month to run effectively and continue providing these vital services.
We urgently need your help to keep these centers open. Your generous support will be instrumental in preventing these vulnerable children from falling into child labor, dropping out of school, and losing hope for a brighter future.
