Hello Friends
Some of the great things we are able to do in our building is hold community celebrations as well as fundraisers. Our latest event was in celebration of Dia del Nino (children's day). This is a non official holiday instituted in 1925 to honor children, promote their well-being and recognize their rights. The nation celebrates with school parties and special public events focusing on education and childhood innocence.
This year our celebration at Ojala-Ninos was a castle with a dragon, princesses and heroes. We had teams that named their group and designed a flag. They competed for small prizes. We had food and cake and raffled off 3 donated bicycles.
It is so joyful and we are so grateful to have a safe space to offer continued events like this one but it is what we do everyday in our space that makes the biggest impact.
Tutoring and continued education, Computers, English, Literacy and Art a just a few of the classes we offer to the community of San Miguel Viejo.
Thank you for your continued interest and support in our mission.
Sincerely
Betty Lopez
