Serbia's first Centre for Neurodivergent Children emerged as a dire need to create a learning space where neuroeducation helps young brains rewire and thrive. For a neurodivergent child, an ordinary classroom can feel impossible to bear - too loud, too bright, too fast. Add your brick and help us create a calm, science-grounded space where a child can finally breathe, focus and learn in a way built for how their mind truly works - brick by brick, built by people like you.
Across Serbia, neurodivergent children are routinely failed by classrooms built for a single kind of mind. Overstimulating environments, rigid teaching methods and a shortage of neuroeducation-trained staff leave many children unable to cope, let alone learn. Families are left to navigate diagnosis, therapy and schooling alone, often without a single space designed around their child's needs. The result is rising dropout, isolation and anxiety - and children whose potential goes unseen.
Our Centre brings together sensory-adapted classrooms, trained neuroeducation specialists and individualised learning plans built around each child's strengths. Quiet rooms replace overwhelming ones, structured routines replace chaos and every session is grounded in how neurodivergent brains actually process, regulate and learn. Alongside direct teaching, we train parents and educators in neuroeducation methods, so the calm and structure a child finds here can extend into their home and school.
When a neurodivergent child finally learns in a space built for their brain, everything shifts. Over time, children who pass through our Centre gain the focus, confidence and emotional regulation to thrive in mainstream education and beyond. Parents gain tools and community rather than isolation. As Serbia's first centre of its kind, this project also lays the groundwork for a wider shift in how the country understands and supports neurodivergence in education.
