This quarter, 11 young mothers successfully completed their professional internships, and 23 adolescent mothers joined Las Claras with their babies. These milestones reflect the opportunities your support helps create for two generations.
For our 11 “Claritas,” completing their internships marked an important step toward employment and greater economic independence. Their placements gave them opportunities to apply their training, gain practical experience, and develop communication, teamwork, and workplace skills while balancing their responsibilities as mothers.
Meanwhile, the arrival of 23 young mothers and their babies opened a new chapter. Through initial interviews and psychosocial assessments, our team identifies each participant’s needs and goals to guide individualized support throughout the program.
Throughout the quarter, Las Claras continued providing comprehensive support in the following areas:
Education: Supporting participants as they continue their studies, strengthen study habits, and balance learning with parenting. Our team monitors attendance and academic progress to identify challenges and provide timely guidance.
Employment preparation: Technical training, including customer service and cash handling, alongside practical skills such as teamwork, responsibility, and professional communication.
Emotional well-being: Individual and group psychological support, complemented by activities focused on self-esteem, decision-making, healthy relationships, and personal goals.
Health and family support: Sexual and reproductive health education, family planning guidance, and social work follow-up to address barriers that may affect participation.
Early childhood development: Age-appropriate stimulation and developmental follow-up for babies, together with guidance that helps mothers strengthen responsive caregiving and positive interactions with their children.
This consistent, daily accompaniment makes progress possible. Every class attended, skill practiced, and internship completed brings participants closer to their goals while supporting their children’s development.
Thank you for helping young mothers move forward with their education, prepare for work, and build stronger foundations for their families. Your generosity sustains these opportunities for our Claritas and their children.
