Digital Learning at LAMP Academy - Opening the Doors to New Possibilities
At LAMP Academy, digital learning is helping students imagine new futures for themselves. From exploring how to use graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop to learning how to code and use accounting software, young women here are gaining practical skills, building confidence, and exploring future-focused career paths in technology, finance, entrepreneurship, and beyond.
With every new skill learned, our students are discovering new possibilities in their educational and career pursuits. We’re excited to see where these stepping stones take each of our students in their journey to choosing how they live, learn, lead, and earn!
Building Creative and Digital Skills Through Canva Training
At our LAMP Academy in Hyderabad, 16 LAMP Academy students took part in a four-day online Canva training led by PlusTrust, where they explored the world of digital design through hands-on learning. From designing birthday invitations for the first time and Instagram posts to creating planners and presentations, students learned how to use templates, edit photos, remove backgrounds, build collages, and bring their ideas to life through visual storytelling.
By the end of the training, students had strengthened not only their digital literacy and design abilities, but also their confidence in expressing their ideas and art through a digital lens. It was inspiring to see students experiment, learn from one another, and discover new ways to bring their ideas to life!
Getting Creative with DTP Digital Training
More than 30 students at Madurai Academy strengthened their digital skills through DTP (desktop publishing) training led by our very own volunteer alumnae, Ms. Ashika. Using Adobe Photoshop and Figma, students designed banners, invitation cards, calendars, social media pages, and mobile app interfaces while learning graphic design, photo editing, and UI/UX concepts. These practical assignments helped students build both their technical knowledge and digital creativity.
Building Essential Digital Skills at Ramnad Academy
7 students at Ramnad Academy successfully completed a 30-hour Computer Skills Course designed to strengthen the digital competencies needed for higher education and future careers. Through interactive lessons, students learned Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, resume writing, and professional email creation. More than just learning software, students gained confidence navigating digital tools that will support them in their studies, internships, and future workplaces.
More than Numbers: Tallying New Skills & Confidence with Tally Software
Students at WEP's Madurai Academy are strengthening their financial and digital literacy through Tally training. 13 students successfully completed a 30-hour Basic Tally course under the guidance of Ms. Selvi, gaining hands-on experience in digital accounting and financial record management. 15 students have enrolled in a new 30-hour Advanced Tally course, where they are exploring inventory management concepts such as stock groups, units of measurement, and stock management.
Together, these courses are equipping students with practical accounting skills and preparing them for future opportunities in finance, and business administration.
Code, Create, and Grow: A New Beginning in Python
At our Madurai LAMP Academy, 16 students enrolled in a new Python Programming course led by our alumnae Susmitha, who is a recent IT graduate now. Through interactive lessons on coding fundamentals, she’s teaching the next generation of LAMP Academy students valuable technology skills while also providing mentorship and guidance to give back to the next generation of aspiring young women who want to become IT professionals just like her.
We also launched a new Python Programming course for students at our Ramnad Academy location, where students learned programming fundamentals, including Python syntax and the print() function. Students eagerly embraced the challenge, demonstrating curiosity and excitement as they took their first steps into the world of coding!
