Thanks to all of you who supported this year's Lake Effect Fringe Festival, which took place at the Dog Story Theater from February 6-March 1. This year's festival featured performances by Alea Iacta Est, GEM Theatrics, No Outlet Improv Team, the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company, Stark Turn Players, and Theatre 616. Many evening's performances were sold out. The festival featured the work of over 50 local theatre artists, including actors, directors, playwrights, and technicians.
The Lake Effect Fringe Festival would also like to recognize the work of LEFF Production Manager Cassandra Sandros and her assistant Samara Woolfolk, who kept the festival performances running smoothly. The box office staff of the Dog Story Theater were also instrumental in the operation of this year's festival. The festival reached close to 600 audience members over its 14 performances.
We are already at work on planning next year's festival, and we are hoping to get more local theatre groups involved in the planning process. Any donations that continue to be made to this project will go towards the funding of the 2016 festival. Thank you again for your support of this collaboration that highlights the variety of outstanding theatrical performance happening in West Michigan.
