There was FREEDOM.
There was SAFETY.
There was LOVE.
And it was GOOD.
The Good Trouble in Canada Rescue continued during the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend when we were blessed to see 6 former research beagles go home with their new families after years in a research facility.
These beautiful dogs were named after the Canadian night sky, because through the darkness, they SHONE bright.
Nova, Sirius, Major, Gemini, Orion, and Draco.
All in loving homes, some driven and some flown across this huge nation to get to the lives that they deserve.
So much to be thankful for!
We cannot change the past for these beagles, but it is our mission to give them the very best of everything for as long as they live free.
This is what we hold onto while we care specifically for Orion at this time.
Orion spent the longest we have seen in a research facility – 8 ½ years – and has now been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. We are told it is a train we cannot stop, but with nutrition and medication, we hope to slow that train down.
It takes effort and it takes donations, but it is a labour of love – one that you have all been a huge part of.
We could not be more grateful!
Dogs hold a special place in our hearts. We believe it is this love that will make a way for change, change that involves the release of so many who can still go from LAB TO LOVE.
ONE BEAGLE AT A TIME!
In the spirit of our love for our dogs, this February, we invite YOU to entering our LOVE LETTER TO YOUR DOG CONTEST! Send your love letter with a photo to info@thebeaglealliance.org - links provided with all the details.
