Project Update: Continuing Our Mission for Ramadan

By Zahid Hussain | Project Leader

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Assalamu Alaikum and greetings to our wonderful community.

We are writing to you today with open hearts to provide an honest update on our "Kitchen Grocery for Struggling Families" project.

As many of you may have noticed, our project page has currently become unsearchable on the GlobalGiving platform while we work behind the scenes to restructure our fundraising efforts. This has, naturally, impacted our ability to raise a significant amount of funds during this critical time.

However, a quiet fundraising period does not mean a quiet mission. The need for food security does not pause, and our commitment to our neighbors does not waver.

The Challenge We Face

To be transparent with you: we have not collected the "smart amount" of funds we had initially hoped for to distribute large-scale weekly grocery kits. The administrative and visibility challenges have slowed our momentum. But we believe that every family matters, and every meal matters. Because we cannot do everything, we are focusing on doing something meaningful.

Our Ramadan Promise: The Eid Package

Ramadan is a month of immense blessings, but it is also a month of significant financial strain for struggling families. The cost of feeding a family at Iftar every night for 30 days is a heavy burden. As we approach the end of the holy month, our goal shifts to a moment of pure joy: Eid.

We are still determined to help. We are currently pooling the modest funds we have received and redirecting our energy toward providing special Ramadan and Eid packages to as many families as possible.

Instead of a full month's grocery supply, our current plan is to assemble and distribute "Eid Blessing Baskets." These baskets will contain:

  • Essential Staple Groceries: Rice, flour, oil, and lentils to ensure the family has a solid foundation for their meals.

  • Eid Treats: Small sweets, dates, and biscuits that bring the specific joy of Eid to the children.

  • A Festive Meal Item: Perhaps a protein item like chicken or canned meat to allow the family to prepare a special Eid dinner.

How You Can Help Right Now

Even a small contribution can turn our hope into a reality for a family this Eid. Because our project is currently unsearchable, we rely on direct support.

  • Direct Donations: If you would like to sponsor an Eid Blessing Basket, please contact us directly at [Your Email Address] or visit our direct donation link: [Insert Direct Link if available, or your personal website].

  • Share Our Story: Talk to your family, your friends, and your local community. Word of mouth is our most powerful tool right now.

We started this project because we believe that no one should feel alone in their struggle, especially during Ramadan. While the road has had unexpected turns, our destination remains the same: putting food on the table and smiles on the faces of struggling families.

Thank you for standing with us, for your duas (prayers), and for your support. We look forward to sharing photos of the Eid packages being delivered, thanks to your generosity.

JazakAllah Khair (May God reward you with goodness),
