Today, living in the Ukrainian frontline city of Kherson means facing enemy attacks and constant threats to life and health on a daily basis. This makes it all the more important that, thanks to your support, we have taken the first big step towards our common goal: we have purchased and delivered the first 43 professional SICH tourniquets to the people of Kherson.
But a tourniquet only saves lives if you know how to use it properly. Therefore, thanks to our partners from the public organization “Center for Change Postup” and certified instructors, the first practical training was held in Kherson on March 9. Thirteen residents of the city mastered the skills of stopping critical bleeding. At the end of the training, each participant received their own tourniquet, which they will now always carry with them. Commenting on the event, one of the participants, Tetyana, said: "It was very interesting and informative. Thank you for this training, which is so necessary for the people of Kherson, and for the very nice gift – the tourniquet! It is very nice that Kherson is not forgotten and that help is being provided."
From now on, the 13 residents of Kherson who have undergone the training are not just residents, but trained citizens who will be able to save themselves or those around them in an emergency. Together with our partners, we are already preparing the next training sessions for the remaining tourniquets purchased, and we will be sure to inform you about them later.
Your donations make the Kherson community more resilient and save the lives of Kherson residents.
Thank you for standing shoulder to shoulder with us!
