Elize is the driving force of the Bergsig Support Group in Springbok, Northern Cape. She works tirelessly with volunteers in the community to address burning issues. One such issue is hunger. Bergsig still continues to provide baked bread as funds for ingredients become available.
In order to continue with feeding the vulnerable, their pizza baking project using their oven will continue on 25th February. The target is to sell 25 pizzas a week (100 per month) at a value of R120 each. These profits will go towards their feeding the community project.
Elize is also looking to provide an opportunity to a woman who has been a victim of Gender-based Violence (GBV) to help with the pizza baking so that she can at least put bread on her own table.
Bergsig Support Group will also partner with schools to supply the baked bread for the school feeding scheme.
Your continued support assists Elize and the Bergsig Support Group to reach the most vulnerable in this rural community.
A heartfelt thank you!
