JWHS Childrens' Home in Mangu, Kenya provides a safe home for several children, including Stephanie, Imam, and Samwel pictured here. These kids uplift our spirits everyday with dedication, hard work, scholarship and character, and we are so proud of the challenges they have overcome. Outside of the home, many children are depending on Expanding Opportunitntes for monthly exam fees or boarding fees, uniforms, shoes, and books. Just as any family struggles to make ends meet, so does Expanding Opportunites' family. With over 30 children depending on Expanding Opportunites for support and care we continue to strive for self sufficiency and financial stability, however we struggle with lack of ability to purchase basic needs without borrowing. This downhill method of using credit cards to supplement Aina Moja's artisan support income is hindering our growth to succeed.
To our regular donors and sponsors: THANK YOU! It is because of you we have come this far and are able to assist so many people attain basic needs, including education. Your dedication and loyality are honorable and you encourage us and motivate us with your support and generousity.
Samwel on the far right and Stephanie on the far left have never found regular sponsors. Donors always step forward with extra help most months that art sales are low. This month, we do not have all funds as we change seasons. We are short $300.00 for monthly childrens expenses of food, medicine, cooking fuel and transportation. Please consider giving us a boost so we can fund expenses for these kids.
