January is the beginning of the school year in Kenya. This year we have assisted 24 young people with their education. Two students are in their last year of high school!! They will be taking their final examination, the KCSE, at the end of the year. Their performance on this examination determines IF, and WHERE they can go to college and IF they will get any scholarship assistance.
We also have two students in CLASS 8. They will also take an important examination at the end of the year! The KCPE will determine if and where they will go to high school.
Such an important year requires consistent support. Expanding Opportunities thanks you donors for assisting with the security of these students’ education.
Education is the answer to the slow climb of a country and a family from the poverty that has kept them from growth and development. Being able to read, write, compute and solve problems determines the ability to resist exploitation and support oneself.
All of our students send you a hearty THANK YOU
