2016 is off to a great start! 26 children prepared to return to school. From Machakos to Aremiet; Kipsing to Mangu our children donned new uniforms and took their exercise notebooks and pencils off to begin a new year!
This year we have 4 students in High School; one in Class Eight who will prepare for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination at the end of this year. He is currently number one in his class. We hope for and encourage him to study as if his marks are high enough, he might obtain a scholarship.
Two are in Class 7 where the study pressure begins. Both the Class 7 and 8 students will be receiving some extra study texts. One is in his third year of postsecondary education and excelling in his study to become a computer engineer. The remaining are in K-6.
Thank you donors for making this possible. There are so many more unmet needs. So many children still at home without school uniform or fees. So many still on the streets without a home or hope for education. Your new or continued support will allow Expanding Opportunities to give hope to these children for the long term until they grow into responsible educated adults
