Expanding Opportunities assists 24 students with their education needs. Our students are not selected by academic prowess but by financial need. We are always pleased with their best efforts and very pleased when they are able to achieve. Dini, one of our girls, was number one in her class last term! This is a goal she set for herself and has taken two years to reach that goal! We are so very proud of her! She has high hopes for her life and we are privileged to be part of making that happen for her.
School is not free in Kenya and the cost varies according to the school. September is Back School month for the Third Term in Kenya. Expanding Opportunities assists many children in different ways to stay in school. Though every term presents its fund raising challenges, this term has proven to be our most difficult. We needed $2,025.00 to meet the educational needs for this term.
We are into the term and still need $1,625.00. The children are being sent home from school and will not be allowed to return until the fees are paid. If you are able to assist us – now is a critical time.
