In the last 6 months, the Kenton Miller Award Programme has received up to $4,900 in donations on the Global Giving website. This amount will be matched by the Chino Cienega Foundation.
The call for nominations for the award has gone out and has closed last Spring, at which time the nominations were sent off to the selection committee for choosing the finalists.
A final selection has been made by a Jury and the laureate will be recognised next November at the IUCN World Parks Congress in Sydney, Australia.
Members and individuals working in protected areas are eligible to nominate people working in protected areas who have demonstrated innovative approaches with recognized global impact in communications, planning and managing, finance and economics, assessment, monitoring and evaluation, learning and capacity development, and/or governance.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
