On the 7th September 2018, a request for donations was sent out to IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas members (WCPA). WCPA members reacted positively and donated more than USD 1500.
Miler Award in action
On 12 September, a request for nominations for the next Kenton Miller Awards was circulated widely and promoted on different websites. Nominees for the Award should be from Latin American or Caribbean Countries. The deadline for nominations is the 14 December. The Award will be presented at a special event during the III Latin American and Caribbean Congress of Protected Areas which will take place in Peru from 17 to 20 March 2019.
