Dear Donors
Today, Karitas Relief Mission continued its efforts to help protect families in Namakwa Village from the growing risk of malaria. The rainy conditions in the community continue to create an environment where mosquitoes can multiply, making prevention especially important for families with young children and other vulnerable community members.
Community members continue to report mosquito bites and malaria-related illness, creating fear and concern among families. We are encouraging households to remain alert to symptoms such as fever, weakness, chills, headaches, and body pains and to seek medical attention quickly when these symptoms appear.
The project also continues to emphasize practical prevention measures. Families are being encouraged to reduce mosquito breeding areas around their homes, keep their surroundings clean, use mosquito repellents where available, and sleep under mosquito nets.
Community awareness remains an important part of this work. By sharing information and encouraging families to take preventive measures early, we hope to reduce malaria infections and protect children and adults from preventable illness.
Karitas Relief Mission will continue monitoring the situation in the village and working with community members to promote safer homes and stronger malaria prevention practices. We remain grateful to everyone supporting efforts to keep vulnerable village families safe and healthy.
