Today, Karitas Relief Mission continues to support village families who are facing an increased risk of malaria. The recent heavy rains have created more mosquito breeding areas, and families are reporting that mosquitoes are now very common, especially during the evening and night.
This situation is causing concern among families, particularly those with young children and other vulnerable members. Many households have limited resources to protect themselves from mosquito bites, making prevention measures very important.
Karitas Relief Mission has responded by providing mosquito repellents to families so they can have additional protection while sleeping and during periods when mosquitoes are most active. The distribution is helping families take practical steps to reduce their exposure to mosquitoes.
However, the need remains significant because the rains continue and many more families are still vulnerable. We are continuing to encourage families to use the available protection and are seeking additional support to reach more households with mosquito-control and malaria-prevention materials.
Today, our priority remains protecting vulnerable village families from malaria and helping communities stay safe during this period of heavy rainfall.
