At Embrace Village in South Africa, children and families are supported by a small team of dedicated caregivers, teachers and child-support staff who provide the consistency, safety and encouragement that children need to thrive. We need to raise **$3,000 every month for 36 months** to help us retain these experienced staff and protect continuity of care for the children and families we serve. When a trusted caregiver leaves children lose a trusted relationship and a sense of stability they need
At Embrace Village, we have learned that sustainable change does not happen through programmes alone. It happens through relationships. A child who has experienced instability needs adults who show up again and again. A young child learning in our Montessori environment needs a teacher who knows their personality, their strengths and their struggles. A family working through trauma needs a caregiver or support worker they know and trust.
Our caregivers, teachers and child-support staff are therefore not simply employees. They are the human infrastructure of our Village. Many of our staff have served our children and families through years of change as we have moved from a traditional children's home model towards our community-based Village model. They have built relationships that cannot simply be replaced when funding becomes uncertain. But like every family, our staff need financial security too.
This is an investment in stability. With predictable monthly support, Embrace Village can: * Retain experienced caregivers and child-support staff and teachers. * Reduce the disruption caused by staff turnover; * Maintain trusted relationships between children, families and caregivers; * Protect the quality and consistency of our programmes; * Give staff greater confidence about their own financial future; and allow our organisation to plan responsibly
