Dear Donor,
This school term ending 25 Children Will Miss Exams Without Uniform — Can You Help One? Dear Friends, Exam time is here in Kumi. 25 children in Aparis Primary have no uniforms — school says they cannot enter exam hall without uniform.
Their parents cannot afford 35,000 UGX ($9). We have tailor in Kumi town ready. €20 = 1 full uniform sewn locally, supporting local business.
€500 = 25 uniforms = 25 children sitting for exams next Monday
This Monday, exams start in Aparis Primary. 25 children in our program have no uniforms.
Headteacher says: no uniform, no exam hall. Grace (11, orphaned by malaria, lives with grandmother) cried yesterday:
Uncle Charles, will I miss exams again?
We can stop this. Our local tailor in Kumi town can sew 1 uniform for €20 (75,000 UGX) — supporting local business.
We need €500 total for 25 uniforms. Not €86,000 — just €500 this week. What €20 does: - 1 full uniform + sweater - 1 child enters exam hall Monday -
See attached, photos of rural children supported with new school uniforms in 2017 before exams and school bags donated by Good neighbors.
Photo of child in new uniform sent to you in next report We have already measured 15 children.
Fabric is ready in shop. Will you sponsor 1 child today? Choose €20, €40 for 2, or any amount. I will post photos Monday of children wearing uniforms you provided.
With gratitude from Aparis Village,
