HELPING GIRLS BECOME STEM LEADERS OF TOMORROW

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Across rural Uganda, many talented girls dream of careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Yet poverty, menstrual health challenges, and limited educational support often prevent them from fully pursuing these aspirations.

Thanks to your generosity, girls are gaining the confidence to see themselves as future scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals, and innovators.

During this reporting period, beneficiaries received menstrual hygiene kits, reproductive health education, and mentorship support that enabled them to remain in school and focus on academic achievement. Career guidance sessions encouraged girls to explore opportunities in STEM-related fields and believe in their ability to succeed.

Teachers have reported increased interest in science and mathematics subjects among participating students. Many girls are showing stronger academic engagement and expressing ambitious career goals that once seemed unattainable.

The reduction in adolescent-focused services has left many girls with fewer opportunities to access guidance and encouragement. Through your support, they continue to receive the resources needed to pursue their educational dreams.

Thank you for investing in future STEM leaders. Your generosity is helping unlock talent, expand opportunities, and empower girls to contribute to the innovation and development of their communities and country.
