HELPING GIRLS STAY IN CLASS AND OUT OF HARM'S WAY

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Across rural communities, many girls continue to face barriers that threaten both their education and personal well-being. One of the most persistent challenges is the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products and reproductive health information. Without these essentials, girls frequently miss school, fall behind academically, and become more vulnerable to exploitation and early pregnancy.

During this reporting period, our project continued providing menstrual hygiene supplies, health education, and mentorship support to vulnerable adolescent girls. These interventions helped ensure that girls could attend school with confidence and dignity while gaining knowledge about their health and rights.

The reduction in support for adolescent-focused outreach services has left significant gaps in many communities. Schools often struggle to provide guidance and resources for girls who need assistance. Through your support, we have been able to help bridge this gap by delivering practical resources and educational sessions that encourage healthy decision-making.

Teachers have reported improved attendance among participating girls, while parents have expressed appreciation for the positive changes they see in their daughters. Many girls now feel empowered to remain focused on their education and future goals.

Your generosity is helping protect girls from the risks associated with poverty, school dropout, and limited access to health information. Together, we are creating opportunities for girls to complete their education, pursue their dreams, and become leaders within their communities.

Thank you for making this life-changing work possible.
