YOUR GENEROSITY IS HELPING GIRLS STAY IN SCHOOL AG

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

For girls living in rural Uganda, education is often their strongest pathway out of poverty. Yet every month, many are forced to miss school because they lack access to basic menstrual hygiene supplies. Combined with limited reproductive health education and declining youth-focused services, these challenges place girls at greater risk of dropping out before completing their education.

Thanks to your generous support, vulnerable girls are receiving the resources and encouragement they need to stay in school. During this reporting period, we distributed menstrual hygiene kits, delivered reproductive health education sessions, and strengthened mentorship programs that help girls build confidence and resilience.

The impact is visible across participating schools. Teachers report improved attendance and greater engagement among girls who previously missed classes regularly. Parents have also expressed appreciation for the positive changes they see in their daughters, including increased self-esteem and stronger academic commitment.

One girl shared that before receiving support, she often felt discouraged and embarrassed during her menstrual cycle. Today, she attends school consistently and is working hard to achieve her dream of becoming a teacher.

Your support is doing far more than providing supplies. It is restoring hope, protecting educational opportunities, and empowering girls to believe in a future filled with possibility.

Thank you for helping girls overcome obstacles and continue their journey toward brighter, more independent futures.
