OPENING DOORS THAT POVERTY TRIED TO CLOSE

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Poverty has a way of closing doors for vulnerable girls long before they have the chance to discover their potential. Without access to menstrual hygiene products and reproductive health education, many girls struggle to remain in school and pursue their aspirations.

Thanks to your compassion and commitment, those doors are opening once again.

Throughout this quarter, girls received menstrual hygiene supplies, reproductive health education, and mentorship support designed to keep them in school and empower them with knowledge. These services have become increasingly important as reductions in youth-focused programs continue to limit access to support within many communities.

One beneficiary shared that before joining the project, she often missed school because she lacked sanitary supplies. Today, she attends classes regularly, participates confidently, and dreams of becoming an accountant.

Teachers report noticeable improvements in attendance, confidence, and academic engagement among participating students. Girls are increasingly viewing education as a realistic pathway toward independence and success.

The impact of your support extends beyond individual students. Every educated girl has the potential to uplift her family, strengthen her community, and inspire future generations.

Thank you for helping open doors that poverty tried to close. Your generosity is creating opportunities that will continue to transform lives long into the future.
