The program currently support 44 families for a total of 93 children and 44 single mothers.
Mothers follow weekly literracy tuitions to be able to read and write so they will be more independant and they won't need anyone else to fill administrative documents and they will able to follow their children scholarship and help them. Each child is attending classes in our SOS School or kindergarden according to his age.
By side of these tuitions, each mother follow 10 months training in Dressmaking or Hairdressing so after the program they would be able to find a job more easily or create their own small business. These training are ensured by a partner association which is specialized in single mothers issue and trainings. The final objectif is that they will have a Profit making activity and be able to care about their children in a better way. However, because of budget lack we currently can't offer cooking training but we hope to restart it in the begining of 2012.
In order to enable them to follow the literracy tuitions and the training we give to each family a weekly foodpackage so they are not perturbated by food or hygienic issues and don't need to work or make their children working to bring some food back home.
