Hello!
It's springtime in the City by the Bay and KEEN is growing by leaps and bounds. We have new athletes and volunteer coaches participating in each of our Sports, Basketball and KEENquatics programs.
Recently we collaborated with another sponsor organization to celebrate All of our athletes and honor Autism Awareness Month. It was a fabulous Sunday of snacks, activities and goodies for the kids. And it reminded us of how much our families need and appreciate the services that KEEN offers the greater community.
Did you know that 1 in 110 children will be diagnosed with Autism; or have you heard that 1 in 700 are diagnosed with Down Syndrome and approximately 8,000 infants are diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy each year? KEEN San Francisco accepts all children regardless of their diagnosis or issue that may arise from that diagnosis. We are PROUD to accept every child with any ability.
Help us celebrate ALL of our athletes and honor National Autism Awareness Month by making a gift to Sponsor an Athlete and help us keep our programs free of charge to the families and caregivers of our athletes. For as little as $40, you can provide an afternoon of socialization, increase sense of independence and the ability to be a kid and have fun in a safe atmosphere.
I've included some photos from our recent celebration; I hope you enjoy seeing the smiles on everyone's faces.
And, I hope you will join me in supporting KEEN San Francisco.
Warmest regards,
Ayesha Williamson, Executive Director
