By Tim Younes | Help Students Stay in School
With your support, we have recently been able to provide 8 scholarships to children who attend the June 1st Elementary School - the only school in Ho Chi Minh City to provide to poor children a totally free education. Your support made the difference between eight (8) children returning to school this fall or an education stopping. Permanently. Sadly. Prematurely. No child should ever have to stop goijng to school at that early of an age.
With aditional support (funding) we can help ,make sure that more children stay in school - receive an education - and have a chance at earning a living wage when they are older. But we need your help.
Aid for Kids supports the June 1st school program in many ways besides scholarships. Recently, we donated a bicycle to a boy in the fourth grade whose own bike was broken. He had a long journey along the very crowded streets of city. This will save the little boy much time and make his education at least a litle less stressful.
We thank all of you for your generous support.
