We are currently facing ongoing threats from infectious diseases like Ebola due to high density, shared facilities, and a lack of specialized sanitation infrastructure. Another Hope, Cogswell, and Jay Jay School navigate this with limited resources. Manual handwashing taps create touch-point bottlenecks that spread viruses. The project will immediately procure and deploy rugged, contactless foot-pedal washing stations. Because these units require zero hand-to-tap contact, they satisfy the baseline physiological safety needs of the student body. Concurrently, bulk medical-grade surface disinfectants, spray bottles, and personal safety kits (high-filtration masks and antibacterial soaps) will be distributed to classrooms.
1) Over 100+ students and staff across the three target institutions will gain daily access to institutional-grade virus prevention infrastructure. 2) The transition from manual taps to foot-pedal operation will drop touch-point cross-contamination risks at washing zones to zero. 3) Teachers and administrative staff will possess the clean data, safety protocols, and supply reserves necessary to maintain operational continuity even uring regional health alerts.
