As you may have seen, our Preschoolers are loving the education life! We have been working closely with Flory Simons, a Curriculum Builder and an Educator in Arizona, to develop the best curriculum possible to support our Preschool Teacher, Juanita, and provide her with all the tools she needs to help the students learn. Students have been learning more about numbers, letters and colors.
Our Kindergarteners are learning how to read and write numbers with two digits. We're also excited to report that the students are working on psychomotor learning. Psychomotor learning is the relationship between cognitive functions and physical movement. Students work on physical skills/actions such as movement, coordination, strength, speed—which demonstrate the fine or gross motor skills, such as use of precision instruments or tools, and walking. Watching our students grow and develop is what keeps us going.
With each class, comes a different challenge. This year we had a student join that program that was not thrilled to be in school. Osmar did not listen or show respect in the classroom. He just was not interested in learning. Over the first half of the school year, he has made a complete change. He is a joy to have in class. He listens and participates in class, and he even discovered a join for music. His parents have said that he is a totally different kid at home. We are excited to see how he continues to grow.
