Junior Achievement of Dallas (JA Dallas) is not only teaching K-12 students about financial literacy and the economics of their communities, cities, and the world, it's also teaching them what their important role is in it all and how to be successful in the future. JA Dallas' goal is ultimately to give them the ability to make these important cognitive connections amongst success in education, finances, and their future careers. We call this giving them the power to be their own #JADHero!
The #JADHero campaign is an on-going opportunity for your to make a financial impact on JA Dallas programs. Since we provide all programs to partnered schools free of cost, your dollars are sure to make a direct impact on these students lives.
As you know, during the 2015-16 program year, JA Dallas strives to provide 50,000 K-12 students with financial literacy and economic education programs. We are well on our way! But this accomplishment for student impact will not be possible without the help of volunteers and the financial support of individuals like you!
Each year JA Dallas implements between 60 to 70 percent of it programs during the Spring semester in Dallas area schools. This year, with the ambitious goal to provide 50,000 students with financial literacy tools through 4,500 individual and company volunteers, our implementation percentage for the Spring is closer to 70 percent. To date for the 2015-16 year, we have provided 17,420 students (34 percent of our goal) with the tools necessary to be their own future heroes of success. This means we will impact over 32,000 students with JA programs this Spring!
A new initiative that will make a lasting impact for accomplishing our student reach will take place this May, during Take Your Business to School Week. During this new, week-long initiative, JA Dallas will collaborate with hundreds of individual and company volunteers and 20 schools to provide nearly 10,000 elementary age students with JA programming.
JA Dallas encourages everyone to be a #JADHero through volunteering, making a financial contribution, or both! In fact, just $33 dollars makes it possible for one student to participate in JA. The 17,420 students already impacted this year with JA programs thank you, for being a part of making it possible for them to participate in our programming.
