Since June of this year, Aditi Joshi,
a legal consultant, has been mentoring
grade 11 students who want to pursue
a career in law. She conducts fortnightly
online sessions to guide students on
preparing for law as a profession and
begins with some online games to help
students be at ease and become more
participative.
Srimadesh of Isha Vidhya Dharmapuri,
who has dreamed of becoming an advocate
since the age of 12, says, “The sessions
have given me a direction of how to go
about fulfilling my dreams. I got to know
about the course details and Aditi akka
gives us useful suggestions – like the
importance of conversation and taking
notes.”
It's wonderful to note that the students

Atul Pant, the founder of Timeless Lifeskills
Foundation, has been conducting ‘Forever
Learning’ sessions for over 300 students from
classes 6-9 since September. Every week, he
introduces a new technology-based activity
like animation, or simulation for them to
complete in a week.
These sessions aim to prepare students to be
‘future-ready’ – i.e. to have the right skills to
be employable and entrepreneurial.
Dharun, a scholarship student of Isha Vidhya
Erode, says, “These sessions are a great
opportunity for me to learn additional courses
without spending money. I've already learned
about basic coding, electrical circuits, and
gained knowledge about London.”
It's inspiring to know that volunteers from
around the world are joining hands to enable
educate the rural children of India. If you too

Since September 2021, Shalini Chaudhari, Associate VP,
Infosys, has been conducting weekly online sessions on
‘Big History’ for students of grade 8 and above of Isha
Vidhya. The objective of these sessions is to educate them
about the evolution of the Earth, the universe, the Big Bang
Theory, Ancient Civilizations, and other topics. These
sessions unite knowledge from various disciplines across
a wide timeframe and help students see connections between
everything. Students receive articles, videos and related
activities, along with a live session to clarify their doubts.
Yuvadarshini of Isha Vidhya Dharmapuri says, ”The
evolution lessons have enhanced my understanding in
zoology, and I've benefitted from self-learning, weekly
tests and activities, and doubt-clearing sessions. Surfing
the internet and taking notes for these sessions will be
useful when I pursue higher studies.”

Madhanpraveen is a Programmer Trainee at Cognizant.
He landed the job through college placement. He scored
73% in the final year of his B.Sc. at Kongu Arts and
Science College, Erode, keeping up with his excellent
school scores of 97% in Grade 10 and 90% in Grade 12.
Madhan studied at Isha Vidhya, Erode, from Grade 6.
He says that the support that his teachers gave helped
him do well academically as well as in extracurricular
activities – something he continues to do as a member
of NCC (National Cadet Corps).
He goes on to say that the basic skills that he learned
at Isha Vidhya help him even today. His alma mater
helped him become more confident and embrace any
work that comes his way.
Madhan wants to improve his networking abilities
and gain new skills at work.

Bhavadharni works as a support executive in
TCS's Citibank project. She was hired on
campus at Sri Krishna Adithya College of
Arts & Science, Coimbatore, where she had
completed her B.Sc. Computer Science out
of her eagerness to gain more knowledge
about computer technology. Bhavadharni
says, “My journey as an employee is different
from what it was at Isha Vidhya Coimbatore –
I feel more responsible now, working in a
multi-national company.
But the things I learned at Isha Vidhya, like
discipline, punctuality, and speaking in
English, help me immensely now.” She
loves her job which gives her an opportunity
to interact with people.
Bhavadharni says that her teachers played
a major role in motivating her to study
well and instilling confidence in her to
make sound decisions in life.
