Challenge

A Fragmented City in Crisis Nelson Mandela Bay faces a critical social infrastructure gap. For 15 years, we have seen that food and temporary shelter are not enough to solve the root causes of urban poverty. Currently, social services in Gqeberha are fragmented; a victim of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) or a homeless family must navigate multiple disconnected points of care. This fragmentation leads to a "revolving door" of crisis. Our city needs a centralized, integrated solution.

Solution

Our 5-Phase Integrated Pathway We are aligning 15 years of expertise into one Integrated Night Shelter & GBV Crisis Centre. This 100-bed hub moves residents through a professional "Pathway to Independence": Stabilization: 10,000+ meals monthly & disaster relief. Safety/Health: 24/7 supervised shelter & clinical care. Recovery: Trauma counseling & GBV protection. Empowerment: Vocational training & 65% job placement goal. Reintegration: Monitored transition to independent living & jobs.

Long-Term Impact

Potential Long-Term Impact This flagship hub creates permanent social infrastructure for Gqeberha, ending the instability of rented spaces. Consolidating 15 years of expertise, we drive systemic urban renewal: Economic Power: 75% reintegration, turning beneficiaries into tax-paying citizens. Safety: A secure GBV wing ensuring 100% safety planning. City Impact: 1,200 people annually moving from crisis to stability. This scalable model proves integrated care solves city-wide homelessness.
