This project was started two years ago by a Global Leaders student during one of our service trips to Guatemala. Since Global Leaders has such strong ties with the community in San Miguel Escobar, she was able to create lasting relationships with the women in the town. She worked with them to develop this project that has since built 40 stoves in the homes of families in rural Guatemala. We are proud of our student-initiated projects and our relationships with the communities in and around San Miguel Escobar.
Thank you all, because we are three days in, and you have helped us raise enough to build 10 stoves! That's 10 families impacted for generations to come! Thank you all so much for you help! LET'S KEEP GOING! We need about $3,500 more to gain a spot on Global Giving's platform that can help fund projects like this for years to come, and we need about $4,500 to reach our total goal for our clean stove project this year! Monthly donations will be matched- so keep that in mind as you donate:)! Help us get there! Thank you donors, you are changing lives!
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
