Dear Loyal Friends of Shoulder to Shoulder:
We are so excited to let you know that we just received a $160,000 grant from the US Embassy for our Education Work. It is so thrilling to know that the Embassy finds value in what we do. We agree with them.
The project that the US Embassy is funding is called: "Building a Better Future for Honduran Children." It is a matching grant project so we are expected to raise additional funds from our supporters.
For that reason, we will be deactivating our "Inspire 3000 Honduran Children" project on the GlobalGiving Platform. In its place, we have created a new education project called "Building a Better Future for Honduran Children."
We have many faithful donors who have been making recurring education donations. No worries...those donations will roll over into the new project. In coming reports and emails, you will hear much more about this new project. But, for now, let us say "good-bye" to one project and "welcome" to our new project.
Over the years, we have raised $68,000 via the GlobalGiving platform for "Inspire 3000 Honduran Children" -- our THANKS to our loyal education supporters, and we hope you stay with us as together we "Build a Better Future for Honduran Children."
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
