Empowering Futures in Rural Guatemala: 2024 Highlights from Let’s Be Ready (Magical Classroom Program)
In 2024, Let’s Be Ready/Magical Classroom Guatemala, proudly supported 247 children in the rural regions of Huehuetenango, Sololá, and Quiché, providing them with a solid foundation for academic, emotional, and social growth. Through our Magical Classroom Program, we continue to nurture young minds and foster a love for learning in some of the most underserved communities in Guatemala.
Achievements Worth Celebrating: Our preschoolers showed remarkable progress this year, measured through detailed assessments at the start and end of the school year. Here’s what stood out:
Regional Highlights: Children in Huehuetenango excelled in “Lines” (80.57%) and “Opposites” (89.87%), while in Sololá, progress was notable in “Geometric Shapes” (79.59%) and “Colors” (89.28%). In Quiché, exceptional results were achieved in “Weather” (89.95%) and “Colors” (86.01%).
Opportunities for Growth: We aim to strengthen letter recognition, where scores were lower, and address the impact of agricultural work on children’s learning time.
Thank You for Making This Possible!
Together, we are proving that every child, regardless of their circumstances, can thrive with the right tools and opportunities. Let’s continue building brighter futures for these children and their communities!
