Let’s celebrate Guatemala!
Civic activities held during the month of September in schools play a fundamental role in the comprehensive development of children, as they not only promote academic learning but also strengthen their sense of belonging, identity, and commitment to the nation.
Our Teachers recognize the importance of these activities, and with enthusiasm and dedication, they prepared our students to participate in events such as traditional and modern dances, the selection of the Independence Queen, cultural performances, recognition of our national symbols, the raising of the national flag, and parades that filled the streets of their communities. All of these activities promoted the active participation of children in the celebration of the country's patriotic festivities.
It's especially significant to mention that in the area of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, our Teacher Albertina Mérida guided one of her students, who was selected to represent her peers and won the title of Independence Queen at her community school. During these events, our Facilitator Teachers, in collaboration with the schools, worked together to create decorations and adorn the main venues where the different activities were held.
All of this is part of our proud Guatemalan traditions!
Thank you for standing with us!
