The last few months have been busy for our organization, as we are in the project execution phase.
So far we have been able to carry out workshops to build a restoration guide with an indigenous vision for the Térraba and Boruca indigenous communities.
This guide aims to be an input so that local people have tools that allow them to restore the landscape using ancestral techniques, rescuing not only the ecosystem, but also the culture.
On the other hand, we have established a nursery on the farm of the Women of the So Cagrú Association, in Boruca, with the support of volunteers from the United World College. This nursery will house seedlings and trees for conservation, consumption, ornamental and native plants.
Finally, we began the process of certifying farms that will participate in restoration processes that will be remunerated through voluntary carbon markets. This new initiative excites us and the communities, since we see in it a long-term solution to the problem of ecosystem degradation.
