Mann Deshi Foundation Healthcare Overall Impact:
A 35-year-old man named Sachin says, “ I drive a car for a living, sometimes I have a job as a driver, and sometimes things are challenging, especially financially. I remember my daughter having a stomach infection, and Mann Deshi’s charitable pathology lab was a big savior in the cost of the blood tests. Because of the Mann Deshi health center, I now have access to the pathology lab, OPD, and radiology center, which are equipped with doctors and technology. So I could save the healthcare testing cost by using Mann Deshi’s facility.
In rural India, over 25% of annual income is spent on healthcare. Yet, over 55% of Indian women suffer from anemia. If a health incident happens in a rural woman’s family, the entire family goes through financial distress. For centuries in India, we have not been able to screen and diagnose women for comorbidities like diabetes, blood pressure, etc., due to a lack of awareness, basic accessibility, and access to CT scans and blood tests.
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) have now become India's leading cause of mortality. Mann Deshi empowers women through programs in business education, agriculture, sports, water, etc. Still, our surveys show that, despite all the access and control over finance, illness and hospitalization bring down the entire family, making women vulnerable. Health is one of the biggest challenges for a rural Indian family.
Diagnostic and OPD (Outpatient Department) is crucial in remote areas since there are no adequate facilities.
Preventive Health Care is crucial— with our experience in health camps and doorstep health services, we are able to save costs for rural women of India.

Through our Health Sakhi (Health Didi) program, our appointed Mann Deshi Health Didis visit women at their doorsteps for screenings of Blood Pressure, Diabetes, HB, anemia, and other health-related queries. Medicine and follow-up are provided by the Mann Deshi Health Center and the Government PHCs and Rural Hospitals.
Once a month for seven days, Mann Deshi conducts a health camp in Man and Khatav Tehsil with doctors and a gynecologist. Women are screened and diagnosed.
