Instituto Ekloos, through your donation, is supporting the development and innovation of initiatives with a social impact, enabling the professionalization of non-profit organizations, through guidance to social leaders who can develop high quality projects with greater social impact.
Currently, 4 acceleration programs are in progress, totaling 68 supported organizations.Following are the top three highlights of the quarter:
- Era uma Vez o Mundo
The first store in Brazil of black dolls was inaugurated with the project Era uma Vez o Mundo, supported by the Instituto Ekloos, through one of the acceleration programs.
The Era uma Vez o Mundo is a social business that works with representative toys. The social entrepreneur, Jaciana, is black and never had a doll to represent her, so she decided to found Era uma vez o mundo. When it started the acceleration program was with production stopped. After the redesign of the business, the store was opened and sold 575 dolls in the first month, with a projection to sell 10,000 dolls by the end of 2019. - Instituto Master Surfe
The absence of a social surfing project in Cabo Frio (small city of Rio de Janeiro state) was the motivation for Lívia Soares to create the Master Surfing Institute, a non-profit organization that will offer free surfing lessons at Praia do Forte for 30 children aged 8 to 16. The project was structured with Ekloos and classes started in April 2019.
- Meetup Impact #1
Inspired in events from Silicon Valley, Instituto Ekloos held the first event, with 83 participants, in a series of 10 meetings, named Meetup Impact. The goal is to provide the interaction between entrepreneurs and investors, creating an impact network.
We highlight these three activities, but you can see others through our social media.
