For children with disabilities, progress often comes one small step at a time. Regular rehabilitation helps children develop physical abilities, improve communication, learn self-care skills, and work toward greater independence. These achievements require time, patience, and continued professional support.
During the first 10 months of 2026, our project provided rehabilitation services to more than 100 children with disabilities. Activities included physical exercises, walking practice with assistive devices, speech development, social interaction, self-care skills, and school readiness preparation. Each child received support tailored to their individual needs.
Behind these numbers are children with their own challenges, abilities, and hopes for the future. Saidjon's story shows how ongoing rehabilitation can make a meaningful difference.
Saidjon's Journey: From Small Movements to New Possibilities
Saidjon is a six-year-old boy with cerebral palsy who has been receiving regular rehabilitation services through the project for three years. He is the second child in his family.
When Saidjon first began receiving support through the project, his physical condition was severe. He experienced frequent involuntary movements and tremors in his arms and legs. He struggled to hold his head upright, and his speech was difficult to understand. Everyday activities required additional support, patience, and specialized care.
After three years of regular rehabilitation, Saidjon has made encouraging progress. He can now control his head movements, eat well, and speak more clearly. He has also learned to walk with the support of specialized equipment. His involuntary movements have become less frequent.
These changes did not happen overnight. They reflect the value of consistent rehabilitation, individualized exercises, and the continued efforts of specialists who understand Saidjon's needs. Each improvement represents another step toward greater independence and participation in everyday life.
Saidjon's journey is still ongoing. His rehabilitation specialists continue to work with him regularly, using exercises tailored to his needs to support his mobility, physical development, cognitive abilities, and communication skills. Their goal is to build on his achievements and help him develop as many skills as possible.
