As part of the partnership between LifeTime Projects and the Association for the Promotion of Literacy and Social Development (APADES) in Yaoundé, a training session on project management and fundraising was organized to strengthen the capacity of the local team.
The training brought together seven participants, including five APADES trainees and two experienced volunteers who wished to further develop their skills in designing and funding nonprofit projects.
Laura, a civic service volunteer with LifeTime Projects, helped facilitate the training alongside Yvette, a member of the local team. Together, they led several practical modules focused on key project management tools:
Through these workshops, participants gained practical tools to structure, write, and present project proposals, particularly in the context of seeking funding. These skills are essential to strengthening the organization’s autonomy and its capacity to develop sustainable initiatives that serve local communities.
This training reflects the mutual exchange of skills that lies at the heart of the partnership between LifeTime Projects and APADES. It contributes to a broader approach focused on strengthening local capacities, supporting organizations that work to promote literacy and empower women.
The strong engagement and motivation of the participants created a positive and collaborative learning environment, reinforcing the foundation needed to develop future educational and social projects.
Thanks to the support of donors, initiatives like this help build long-term capacity within local organizations, improving access to education and supporting women’s empowerment in Yaoundé.
