Thank you all so much for your generous donations to our field program in Guatemala earlier this year and to Improve Vision Health for 1,000 Guatemalans.
The project's initial goal was to raise $5000, which we reached and exceeded: we raised a total of $5,175 in just over one month's time. Needless to say the project has been a complete success, thanks to your generosity and your commitment to sustaining VHI's mission to bring high-quality eye care to underserved communities around the world. During our week-long field program in Guatemala earlier this year alone, we were able to provide 764 eye exams, perform 49 operations, and dispense over 500 pairs of eyeglasses. Your donations help ensure that our work in Guatemala continues in the years ahead.
Please allow this report to also let you know that today, and as a result of the project's accomplishments, we are deactivating the Guatemala project page and will launch a new project next year to support field programs in 2019.
Thank you for all you have done to help restore the gift of sight!
