Book shelves, carpets and cushions for classrooms. Everyone pitched in to help on delivery day. This is how hard we work to deliver our materials! The finished classrooms making cement All of the stones were carried to the site by hand The school overlooks the Kathmandu Valley Children and teachers couldn't wait for furniture. These were the classrooms for nearly a year. 49 kids received new bags and water bottles Many children walk 3 hours each way to school New furniture at Shringery School near Kathmandu. The furniture is made by hand. Delivering furniture at Durga School. Students study in a hut made of bamboo and plastic Engineers supervise reconstruction work. Our chairman briefs local officials on the work. Reading a book about earthquakes. Reconstruction work will begin in November Fortunately, this schoolyard is still intact. Despite hardship, children are still smiling If damage is limited, classrooms are still used Tents are a common sight on school grounds Our team in Nepal Private homes in villages have collapsed New chairs and tables at Pathibhara Primary School We helped finish the 3rd floor of this school Students engaging with each other is our goal. Teacher training expert Beth Norford ran a session Another training goal: bring art to classrooms. Rosy is our head trainer and a former principal. Letting children lead an activity independently. Rosy is a bundle of energy. Teachers love her. New white boards help eliminate chalk dust The boards are a status symbol for rural schools Water taps are installed at child-friendly heights Collection tanks provide water when school is open Boards are a way to keep up with private schools More than 560 students attend this school.
