Equip & Train Medical Providers Update

The holiday season is upon us and and our friends and families around the world want to gather and celebrate, but the global pandemic still lingers, and is overwhelming the hospitals not just here in the US but also in Uganda. Our partners in Uganda are learning how to navigate the daily interruption due to COVID. Unfortunatley, the newly constructed hospital has not been able to open due to a lack of specific equipment and a generator. The medical school had to send all of its students home for several months and due to insufficent access to internet and computers students education was put on hold. Student that are in their final year have started slowly coming back to school since the demand for qualified health professionals is so critical right now. The local helath officials are working very hard to remind people about keeping their distancre, weaing and mask and washing their hands often.

This is a very challenging time for everyone and especially our healthcare workers around the world. The Curiosity Project is still committed to delivering supplies, equipment and training to the health care workers in Western Uganda. The team has been collecting supplies here in the Houston and now have a climate controlled storage unit where the supplies are safely being stored until we can make the trip to Uganda. We are hoping that will be possible in late 2021. So in the mean time we are working with our partners to understand the need and cost associated with the generator that is needed.

Your monthly donations help us to continue to provide the hope and healthcare to this community in Fort Portal.

Victor sent a note via Watsap a few weeks ago saying. "Thank you for not forgetting about us. We sometimes feel that we have no alternatives and then I recieve a note from you and my faith is restored. God Bless you all"

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
