This project will help Foodbank Australia deliver essential food and groceries to people experiencing hunger across Australia. Donations will help source and move food through our national network of Foodbanks, charities and schools, reaching families, children and communities doing it tough - from cities to regional, remote and disaster-affected areas.
Rising living costs are forcing more Australians to choose between paying essential bills and buying food. Families with children, older Australians, students and people in work are increasingly experiencing food insecurity, with many skipping meals or going without nutritious food. Foodbank Australia and its network of charities are facing unprecedented demand for food relief, yet the need continues to outpace available supply.
This project will help Foodbank Australia source, transport and distribute essential food and groceries to people experiencing food insecurity across Australia. Working with more than 2,900 charity partners and schools, Foodbank delivers nutritious food to families, children, older Australians and communities in need, ensuring good food reaches people instead of going to waste.
By improving access to nutritious food, this project helps reduce the long-term impacts of food insecurity on health, education and wellbeing. It strengthens local communities by supporting more than 2,900 charities and schools across Australia, while building a more sustainable food system by rescuing edible surplus food that would otherwise go to waste.
