Greetings of peace, abundance, and joy to GlobalGiving donors.
We would like to inform you that the City Government of Davao City (Philippines) assisted the victims in rebuilding their homes. The City Government initially allocated about 45 million pesos to rebuild the shelters of the victims. No more victims are staying at evacuation centers right now.
Our purpose of appealing for your help was to provide the immediate assistance such as food for the victims. We are so delighted that we have fulfilled this responsibility through your donations and the concerted efforts from our ranks, the people of Davao City, and the City Government of Davao City.
If you could remember, that fire had affected more than 3,000 families generally described as poor because the community razed by fire was squatter area. The estimated damage to properties mostly houses, was at 155,469,840.00 million in Philippines pesos.
Your donations would still be of big help for there are thousands of children in the community who deserve appropriate care and attention. Many of those affected families are still recovering to get their sources of livelihood.
To all donors of this project, we profoundly acknowledge your help and thank you for being with us.
