Dear Friends,
Wishing you and your families a very prosperous and joyful Diwali. May this festive season bring you health, happiness and success.
The last quarter was an eventful one . We introduced centres in the deprived and remote tribal areas of Banswara in Rajasthan and Khargone in Madhya Pradesh, in keeping with our aim to reach out to more and more out-of-school girls with quality education.
A girl who is denied education is more vulnerable to poverty, hunger and trafficking. On my recent visit to Kolkata I personally met girls who were trafficked from the Diamond Harbour Block where IIMPACT runs 60 learning centres. With our consistent efforts we managed to locate young idle girls who are now happy to come to the learning centres. Our teachers provide both the girls and their parents with comforting attention. Their parents take great comfort in the fact that their girls are secure. Your support has helped make this possible.
Regards
Urvashi
