Since September 2017, the IGGI team has engaged children, parents, and professionals throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands through puppet shows and expressive dance at various community centers, elementary schools, Head Start pre-schools and at various carnival and community events on St. Thomas, St.Croix and St. John.
To date, the IGGI team has presented over 25 times, reaching 250+ children and adults. Most recently, IGGI founder Joan Bennett joined a radio talk show focused on wellness, a community dialogue series focused on child wellbeing data, and a screening event for a documentary highlighting the resilience of Virgin Islanders in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
IGGI continues to be warmly received, but the program will be put on an indefinite hiatus at this time. Thank you for your support!
