After taking the three day weekend we are back on the ground in various areas of Bay County distributing the water and non-perishable products we've accumulated through grassroots efforts in the Mecklenburg, Harris, Cabbarus and Union County areas of North Carolina, and the Fulton and Cobb county areas of Georgia.
It's not a lot this time around and we will possibly be out of supply by midnight Friday: but the mission is worth it to these who have lost so much.
As we prepare for the holidays we are optimistic and hopeful to give our fellow American citizens a warm and happy holiday season as best we can.
The major items we are collecting donations for at this time remain to be: jackets, gloves and scarves (as well as food, water, blankets, cots and roofing materials).
We do see a progressional pattern around the city of people rebuilding or at least cleaning/ covering broken homes and structures: but as stated on national, state and local news this area will take a couple of years to rebuild (as can be imagined after so catastrophic an event).
Thank you for the prayers, donations, emails and positive thoughts as our team and the other responders here continue on our missions.
